A.    Definition of movie maker

Windows Movie Maker is a video processing program or software that is built in from Windows XP. Movie Maker is installed when you install Windows XP automatically. Although it's a default program and not a stand-alone program,

            Movie Maker is able to become a reliable video editing program. This is inseparable from the ease of use, both beginner and intermediate, due to support from Microsoft that provides updates and additional features on their website.

B.     File Type

In Windows Movie Maker it will be saved in the Windows Media file format. But it can also import other files on Windows Media such as importing ordinary files, for example:

·         Video files: .asf, .avi, .m1v, .mp2, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, .wmv

·         Image files: .bmp, .dib, .emf, .gif, .jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .tif, .tiff, .wmf

·         Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3,. mpa, .snd, .wav, .wma.

1. To Inform 
      when the speaker is presenting interesting facts or lessons to the audience, or explain how to go about doing something. This could be a teaching lecturing about the Civil War, a student giving an oral report or showing how to decorate a cake or set up a blog, a museum docent explaining the history of painting, or a doctor explaining a procedure.

2. To Persuade, Motivation, or Take Actio
 
this is when the speaker will try influencing the audience in some way. The speaker might be trying to change your mind about something, to persuade you to change your opinion, to motivate to change a behavior, or to take action. Some examples are explaining the benefits of a non-profit for the purpose of eliciting donations, trying to get people to change bad eating habits by explaining all the benefits of eating healthily or attempting to convince people to vote against a candidate in an election.

3. To Ertertain

this type of speaking is often found at events like banquets, weddings, or dinners. The speaker is usually sharing a funny story or other anecdotal information. Some examples of this would be the best man speech at a wedding or an after-dinner speech given by a host of a party to thank guests for coming. They could also be planned as entertainment at an event. Topics are usually humorous and light and could serve a very specific purpose, like introducing a featured guest or giving a toast.

7 Tips to Improve Your Listening Comprehension (That Never Fail)

1. Choose Comprehensible Input

The most important thing you must do when looking to improve your listening skills is listen to material that you already mostly understand. This kind of material, known as "comprehensible input", is any audio content that's slightly above your current skill level. Everyone's level is slightly different, so this is hard to quantify in objective terms; however, I would say that comprehensible input is any audio source that you can already understand at least 60%-80% of. It may seem counter-intuitive to listen to material that is just above your skill level, but it is actually extremely important. This is because if you listen to things that you mostly don't understand, you'll spend the majority of your time frustrated and confused. You may decipher a few words here and there, but you will struggle to piece together the gist of what is happening. This is what was happening to Alex. He really wanted to understand movies, podcasts, and online videos, so that's what he tried to listen to. However, these native-level materials were so far above his level that they only slowed his progress, instead of supporting it. To reach the kind of high level that Alex aspired to, it is necessary to build a "ladder" of comprehensible input. Start with what you understand, and then gradually listen to harder and harder audio materials as your level increases.
